Creating a Culture of Critical Thinking in Your Classroom
Teaching children to think logically and independently is essential to raising up the next generation of believers to love the Lord their God with their heart, soul, and mind. How do we equip and train children to ask good questions, find biblical answers to their questions, and engage the culture for Jesus? Join us as we discuss simple and practical ways to create a healthy atmosphere of critical thinking in your children’s ministry.

Using the Word of God as your Textbook
In today’s world there are many different resources we can use in teaching the children in our classroom. While there is nothing wrong with using those resources, we sometimes, unknowingly, become dependent upon them rather than using the Word of God as our primary resource. In this workshop we will see how by using the Word of God, as our primary resource, we are giving the kids an opportunity to let God speak directly to their hearts and respond directly to Him.
Teacher: Pastor Steve West

How to Respond to Suspected Abuse or a Child in Need
Children’s safety is the highest priority. It is important that we know how to respond to a child in need. We will look at our role as children’s ministry leaders/teachers in response to suspected abuse, the signs a child needs help, and how to establish and keep a safe environment for a child in your ministry.
